Bold Pastels in Stanley Park

Bold Pastels in Stanley Park

This past spring our Garden Party Team made the magic happen this time for Mariel & Aldrich.

This bride and groom held their reception at the cozy yet warm and elegant Stanley Park Pavilion. This gave the wedding party a luscious forested backdrop for their bold coloured attire. We loved the groomsmen in moody blues and greys with the bridesmaids in eye-catching red and cobalt blue. The boldness of the wedding party mixed with the softness of the pastel florals, made for a very unique west coast style look. Still bridal, but with a hint of colourful charm.

Moody greys and blues with a splash of that burgundy red mixed with pastel boutonnieres? Yes indeed! It really suits the groom and his groomsmen.

That stunning peach and pastel coloured bridal bouquet was made for Mariel in a tear drop cascading style. A cascading style is very romantic and definitely added to the uniqueness of the wedding. We used blushing peonies, a peachy coloured matthiola stock, tiffany roses, our muted quicksand roses and of course any bride who loves peach absolutely MUST have the Juliet Garden roses. All these blooms mixed beautifully with the cascade of Italian ruscus, eucalyptus, dusty miller, spray roses and wisps of dainty astilbe.

Find your seats everyone! Inside the pavilion we added florals to this hanging gold grid geometric style seating chart (which was stunning on its own). The cascading eucalyptus and ruscus greens with peachy pastel blooms emulates the bride’s bouquet. So much added romance.

The centrepieces are long and low with the coordinating blush blooms and dark greens, but this time we added the pops of blue eryngium thistle alongside the blue wedding decor. Altogether, in the cozy pavilion it gives the effect of a delicate peachy glow under the warm candlelight at dinner.

Here the newlyweds cut the cake and couldn’t look more in love! We had a great time designing for Mariel and Aldrich. Bold colours with soft pastel vibes for the win!
