Last year, Janice and Kelven had a picturesque wedding by the lake at Hart House in Burnaby. This is an incredible venue and these stunning photos show it! The floral colour theme chosen was the ever popular blush and ivory combo that somehow suites every venue and looks good on every bride.
For the bridal party, each bridesmaid carried a much smaller version of the bridal bouquet. All the bouquets are full of our big petal bloom flowers like roses, peonies, garden roses, lisianthus and freesia with Italian ruscus, eucalyptus and trailing soft ribbon to give the bouquets that slightly natural vibe.
We also did an arbor for the ceremony, featuring all our favourite blush and ivory big petal blooms! We added all the flowers to the top left corner and made a flowing garland of long lasting eucalyptus and Italian ruscus that draped across the wood to frame the couple during their vows.
Some of my very favourite parts about a wedding are noticing all the small and beautiful details that the bride and groom decide to incorporate into their special day. Seen here are some of the table pieces we made in different sizes, accompanied with loose greenery and candles. We used a gloriously warm toned rose gold mercury compote vase for the largest piece. Inside are white hydrangeas, freesia, phlox, astilbe, peonies, lisianthus, roses, and pretty much anything white or blush with big pretty petals!
Those compotes always look amazing on tables and have been growing in popularity over the passed two wedding seasons. The raised height and draping greenery over the sides is the perfect mixture of rustic meets glamorous.
At the head table we used the same arrangement and garland from the arbor. The cascading garland is made up of Italian ruscus and dollar eucalyptus. The arrangement, which really resembles a gorgeous mountain of flowers includes: a ton of garden roses, astilbe, peonies, lisianthus, see the theme here? We love those big petal blooms.
